Kicking Back in Santa Cruz

Fire is the theme for Theme Thursday. Here's how I spent my evening after running my first 20 miles last September with my fellow TNTers and friends. There's nothing like drinking some beer, bundling up in a warm cozy sweater and cuddling with my hubby and hanging out with friends at a bonfire.

Beach parties are a young man's game.

Peaceful, beautiful.

It amazes me that fire can be either terrifying or peaceful, depending on the context.

Tom-What else would you do after running 20 miles? Happy TT to you to.

Kris-Yes they are. I was so tired all I could do was sit back and nurse a beer listening to the guys nonsensical banter, laugh, and snap photos.

Leah-Yes, the same goes with the ocean.

Willow-Thank you. It means a lot to me.

Brian-You said it Brian. Thanks.

Looks like a nice, relaxing fire...

Ronda-Thank you.

Wings-It was until the men starting throwing their empty beer cans and other things they found on the beach into the fire. They wanted to make the flame change colors. Boys are silly and dangerous and were successful.

Someone has to be playing the guitar. That's essential at a beach bonfire.

What beach is it?

A beach east of Twin Lakes.
